Halloween Snack Mix Bites

Halloween Snack Mix Bites {Spoonful of Flavor}

Are you looking for a fun, easy and sweet treat to make for Halloween? You are in luck because, today, I am sharing these Halloween snack mix bites. They are the perfect sweet treat and are super quick and easy. These would be great for serving at a Halloween party but I just like keeping them around the house to snack on.

The snack mix that I layer over the chocolate is my absolute favorite snack mix. Crunchy peanuts, raisins, candy corn and m&ms create the perfect crunchy snack. Add a dollop of chocolate and you have these fun snack mix bites.

If you have a Fresh Market store where you live, they have the snack mix already premade. It is called Autumn Delight Mix and you can find it in the bulk foods section. If you don’t have a Fresh Market where you live there is no need to worry because these bites only include five easy-to-find ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup peanuts
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup m&ms
  • ½ cup candy corn
  • 12 oz. dark or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Set aside.
  2. Combine peanuts, raisins, M&Ms and candy corn in a small bowl; set aside. Melt chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water (or in a microwave safe bowl, heating the chocolate in 20 second increments to prevent burning, until chocolate is melted). Using a spoon, place a drop of chocolate on the wax paper, smoothing to make a circle slightly larger than a quarter. Place pieces of the snack mix on top of the chocolate drops, pressing down lightly to set in chocolate. Place in the refrigerator until hardened.

      Me too! I don’t really like candy corn on its own, but I love it in snack mix. And of course, chocolate makes everything better :)

    These are so cute! I would probably opt out of the candy corn, {haven’t liked it since I was a kid} but everything else sounds delicious! :) Thanks for sharing at Show Stopper Saturday!
