As a mom who is constantly on the go, I am always looking for better-for-you breakfast or snack options that are quick and easy. Smoothie bowls are one of my favorite options because you only need a few ingredients to create a refreshing meal. Best of all, you can sprinkle on your favorite toppings.

For this recipe, I partnered with the National Frozen and Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) as part of the Cool Food Panel to bring you a fresh new breakfast or snack option that you can enjoy all year long.

To celebrate March Frozen Food Month, I’m starting the week with a smoothie bowl packed with nutrients and fresh flavor. The smoothie bowl combines DOLE® Berries n’ Kale Fruit & Veggie Blends with coconut water and other crunchy toppings. You can find the frozen fruit and veggie blend in the freezer aisle of your local grocery store. I love that the blend combines strawberries, blueberries, bananas and kale. You can keep the blends on hand in your freezer so that they are ready to go whenever you need a refreshing meal. Everything is picked at peak freshness, cut and packed into one container. The smoothie is a convenient, fresh and easy way to start your day.

Serving this smoothie in a bowl is a fun way to enjoy extra textures and flavors. Don’t be afraid to sprinkle on your favorite toppings to the smoothie to create a filling meal. Thaw fruit from the frozen DOLE Fruit & Veggie Blends and layer it on top with sliced almonds, old fashioned rolled oats, coconut flakes and chia seeds. Or experiment with your favorite combination of ingredients.

Try a new recipe every single day of the week and incorporate the best frozen ingredients into your favorite meals. In addition to the DOLE Fruit & Veggie Blends, DOLE has a variety of frozen products available for every meal. With everything from frozen strawberries and pineapple chunks to frozen dipped chocolate bananas, you will find something in the freezer aisle to satisfy your entire family.
