I can’t believe that it is already the end of the month. I love this time of the year and am looking forward to longer days, trips to the beach and backyard cookouts. Again this month, I am sharing a few of my favorite things worth talking about.
(1) Tazo Zen (2) Tea Forte Lemon Sorbetti (3) Mighty Leaf Green Tea Tropical
I always drink at least two cups of tea a day and ninety percent of the time I drink green tea. I like the natural flavor of green tea in addition to the flavors that add a hint of mint, lemon, coconut, or mango. At any given time, I like to have more than a few varieties available. I’ll probably do a more detailed post on the different flavors and variety of tea that I love, but here are a few of my favorites.
Ole Henriksen Protect the Truth Sunscreen
I took advantage of Sephora’s recent Beauty Insider sale and purchased the Ole Henriksen Protect the Truth Sunscreen. Since I love the Ole Henriksen Nurture Me moisturizer, I figured I would try a sample of their sunscreen. So far, I love it. Its light, easy to wear under makeup and has minimal harsh ingredients.
I love everything about these leopard print sandals. They are on back order, but I ordered them anyway and hopefully they will be delivered soon.
Lately, I have been daydreaming about owning horses. Unfortunately the prospect of actually owning a horse is very unlikely since I don’t live on a farm. I still like dreaming about the possibility though. I came across this print and am absolutely in LOVE with it. I’m thinking of ordering it for one of my spare bedrooms.
Summer Reading List
Since my version of summer vacation is only a week away, I’ve started a summer reading list. I am really looking forward to spending more time reading. So far, my list includes the books you see here as well as others that include a mixture of food, fun and history. What have you read recently that you really loved?
Given the tragic events of last week in both Boston and Texas, I can’t help but feel enormous gratitude to the thousands of first responders who work so hard to save lives and keep us safe. Maddy, over at Somewhere Splendid blog, shared a wonderful idea to thank those who work so hard to protect us. Her idea is simple, buy a cup of coffee for a local fire fighter, police officer, or other first responder when you come across one. Her blog even includes a printable card sleeve designed to fit a Starbucks card for those who would prefer to give a giftcard. Spread the word to get others to join in and say thank you!
And just for fun….my sweet kitty Ollie. I snapped this pictures with my phone quickly one night because it portrays his personality perfectly. He loves having a little fun in his toys, and yes, he does cross his paws.
