Stitch Fix – March 2014 Review

Stitch Fix

It is always a great day when my Stitch Fix arrives. Even when I don’t have time to shop at the store, I can always count on Stitch Fix to bring me something unique and fun. I love Stitch Fix because it is fun, easy and can be customized based on my own style. For those of you that follow me on Instagram, I posted about my most recent box and asked for your opinions. Read on to see what I kept this month.

WHAT IS STITCH FIX?

Stitch Fix reminds me of the personal stylists that they have at Nordstrom or similar stores, except I’ll never actually meet my stylist and all of the items are shipped directly to my door. When you sign up, they ask you to fill out a style profile, where you specify sizes, price ranges, shapes, styles and any colors or patterns that you prefer. You pick a date that you want your fix shipped and they send you a box of 5 clothing and accessory items hand-picked based on your style profile. You can schedule one delivery or sign up for automatic monthly deliveries. You pay a $20 styling fee for each box, which also includes delivery. The $20 styling fee is applied as a credit towards anything you keep from your box. If you purchase everything in your box, you receive 25% off the entire purchase.

MY SIXTH STITCH FIX

So here is my sixth Stitch Fix box:

Stitch Fix - March 2014 Review

Here are the five items I received in my box:

(1) Maisie 3/4 Sleeve Front Gathered Top – $48

I like the color but I have a hard time finding casual tops that I really love. I don’t like the gathered fabric on this one. The color is beautiful for spring though.

(2) Moon Collection Bri Fit & Flare Floral Print Chiffon Dress – $48

Yes! Finally, a fun casual dress that is perfect for Florida spring and summer. This dress is great quality for the price and is light and comfortable. I think it would look fun with a colorful belt. I have a bridal shower coming up and this dress will work perfect.

(3) Andrew Marc Ray Capsleeve Belted Sheath Dress – $74

I love everything about this dress. The color, the belt, and the cut are all my style. I would have loved it if it was an inch or so longer because it would work better for work. But I love that I can throw a blazer over it. And the quality is really good.

(4) 41Hawthorn Harper 3/4 Sleeve Jacket – $58

I really wanted to like this jacket. I like the concept of a light blazer because it works well in Florida weather. But the fact that the jacket had no structure made it feel a little frumpy. It probably would look okay the first time I wear it, but I would rather have a nice structured light jacket than a cardigan.

(5) Bay to Baubles Aubrey Beaded Boho Bib Necklace – $32

Besides my first fix, I haven’t had too much luck with the jewelry. I don’t think it is anything against what my stylist has picked for me, but they just aren’t my style.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

MY OVERALL THOUGHTS

The winners from this box were #2 (Moon Collection Bri Fit & Flare Floral Print Chiffon Dress) and #3 (Andrew Marc Ray Capsleeve Belted Sheath Dress).

I kept both dresses this time. I love that one is casual and one is perfect for work. I noticed that some of the pieces were cheaper than previous pieces. I wasn’t as willing to spend higher prices on basic dresses in the past, but these two seemed very reasonable for the price. Overall, I was incredibly happy with this fix and my stylist did a great job with the dresses. I can’t wait to see what comes in my next fix.
