Epcot Food and Wine Festival

Plan a visit to the 2021 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival to taste your way around the world with authentic cuisine and beverages. The festival runs now until November 20th at Walt Disney World. Here are a few festival highlights with new offerings and my favorite food and beverage items!

Epcot offers some of the best dining experiences in Walt Disney World. It’s my favorite park to find good food and wine. Traveling around World Showcase, you will find food from many different cultures and countries such as Japan, Canada, Germany and Norway. Drink some of the best margaritas in Mexico or grab fresh gelato in Italy. The options are endless and new offerings arrive often.

2021 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Highlights

The Epcot Food and Wine Festival is my favorite festival of the year. The Food and Wine Festival runs from July 15th – November 20th with special events, celebrity chefs, and a World Showcase Food Market happening throughout the festival. While the food and wine is mostly geared towards adults, there are a few fun activities for kids too.

The festival this year includes 32 different food booths with nine food booths opening on October 1st!

You do not need a separate ticket to attend the festival, but you will need a standard park ticket to enter the parks in addition to a park reservation. There is no additional fee to attend the festival, but prices of food and beverage items generally range from $4.50 to $12. Some items may be priced higher.

Pick up a festival passport at the entrance to the park and at various locations throughout the park. The passport includes details on food booths, merchandise and other festival offerings.

New Dishes to Try

There are many new dishes to try at the Food and Wine Festival. Over 50% of the dishes featured at the festival are NEW this year. So even if you visited in the past, there are plenty of new delicious dishes to try.

Below are some of my favorite additions to the festival this year. Try one or try them all!

The first item is the Beef Pho from the Noodle Exchange. If you are looking for delicious ramen dishes, the noodle exchange has a variety of options to choose from, including the Beef Pho! It’s tastes authentic and is packed with flavor.

The next item is a cold beverage from Earth Eats, the Spiced Apple Chai Tea. Earth Eats offers plant based items with everything from Impossible Burger Sliders to drinks and more. This iced tea is perfect on a hot summer day. It has the perfect amount of chai flavor, but it’s fairly sweet. So if you love sweet drinks, then this is the drink for you.

The Tangierine Cafe is a Meditteranean-style market that is new to the Food and Wine Festival. They serve hummus & kebab dishes that are a necessary stop in Epcot. My favorite beverage here is the freshly squeezed blood orange juice. Made by hand daily, this recipe goes beyond the normal orange juice you had for breakfast this morning.

Blood Orange is known for having a richer taste and great nutritional value. This specific orange gives a hint of grapefruit, raspberries, and cherries. A perfect beverage to have with your Mediterranean lunch.

In Mexico, there is a new item coming for the Festival this year called Chilaquiles con Chorizo. This meal consists of layered tortillas stacked on top of each other and topped with Chorizo, pickled onions, and cheese. The tortillas are seasoned beforehand with salsa verde and more cheese!

The flavor of this dish is perfect with the perfect combination of ingredients.

Returning Favorites at Epcot

There are so many amazing new markets, dishes, and beverages coming to Epcot Food and Wine Festival, but there are many returning favorites too! If you found some delicious dishes at the Hawaii booth, Hops & Barley Booth, or Flavors of Fire booth in the past, then you’re in luck. These booths are coming back and bringing with them the delicious dishes we fell in love with last time.

The freshly baked carrot cake from Hops and Barley will be making an appearance again. A yummy treat to have for all of you carrot cake fans out there. Some other dishes coming back to Epcot are the Kalua Pork Slider from Hawaii, and the Corned Beef Corner Route from Flavors of Fire. Both are excellent!

The donut box is also back this year with the Candy Jar Donut and Crispy Chicken on sriracha-glazed donuts. If you love candy, then you will love this sweet treat.

Emile’s Fromage Montage

This is a fun food crawl for those who love cheese! On the last page of the festival passport, you will see the five dishes that are part of the crawl. Purchase and try all of these dishes and then return to the Simmering Sips booth to redeem for your completer prize. While we loved the cheese dishes, the completer prize was a strawberry soft serve ice cream which is so delicious!

Other Festival Activities for Everyone

This year the Epcot Food and Wine Festival can be fun for the whole family. Your kids can participate in the Food and Wine Festival by playing Remy’s Hide ‘n’ Squeak Scavenger Hunt. You can purchase the sticker and map for only $10.

As you go around the park, try to find all of the little Remy’s located about. He is hidden all throughout the park so be sure to follow the map to locate him!

Once you finish the scavenger hunt and find all of the Remy’s, you can turn in your map and collect your prize at the end. Kids and adults love it!
