Granola Trail mix combines a few simple ingredients to create a snack that you can pack for on-the-go or enjoy any day of the week!
Granola trail mix is the perfect snack to grab when you are heading out the door and know you will need something to hold you over until dinner. I keep a bag or two in my desk at work. No matter what type of snack or nut mix I eat, I always pick out everything but the chocolate first and save the chocolate for last. That way, I always have something to look forward to at the end. Ok, I may sneak a few pieces of chocolate in between. But there is plenty of chocolate and crunchy goodness in this granola trail mix to last until the end.
This mix includes chocolate covered pomegranate seeds. Have you tried these things? They are addicting. I buy the ones from Trader Joe’s, but I’ve seen them at other stores as well. And speaking of Trader Joe’s, our store is relatively new and the first time I ever went in I didn’t understand what all the hype was about. I thought it was just another food store with very little organic produce. However, once I actually tasted a few of the items we purchased, I was hooked. I especially love the dark chocolate covered banana bites, pumpkin butter and roasted coconut chips. Brad seems to love a lot of their frozen dishes too. I still have yet to try the ever famous cookie butter, but that is next on my list.
Make a batch of this trail mix and you will have a treat to snack on for the whole week. Crunchy granola clusters, coconut, almonds, white chocolate and chocolate covered pomegranate seeds creates a mix that is crunchy, nutty, and slightly sweet.
Granola Trail Mix
- 4 cups granola clusters
- 2/3 cup whole raw almonds
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup chocolate covered pomegranate seeds or chocolate chips
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Stir to combine. Store in an airtight container.
