Stitch Fix – April 2014 Review
My seventh Stitch Fix arrived and it is the best one yet! Gorgeous colors, fun spring pieces and the perfect tote were all included in my most recent fix. I can always count on Stitch Fix to bring me something unique and fun. I love Stitch Fix because it is fun, easy and can be customized based on my own style. Read on to see what I kept this month.
WHAT IS STITCH FIX?
Stitch Fix reminds me of the personal stylists that they have at Nordstrom or similar stores, except I’ll never actually meet my stylist and all of the items are shipped directly to my door. When you sign up, they ask you to fill out a style profile, where you specify sizes, price ranges, shapes, styles and any colors or patterns that you prefer. You pick a date that you want your fix shipped and they send you a box of 5 clothing and accessory items hand-picked based on your style profile. You can schedule one delivery or sign up for automatic monthly deliveries. You pay a $20 styling fee for each box, which also includes delivery. The $20 styling fee is applied as a credit towards anything you keep from your box. If you purchase everything in your box, you receive 25% off the entire purchase.

MY SEVENTH STITCH FIX
So here is my seventh Stitch Fix box:
(1) Andrew Marc Regina Cute Out Shoulder Sheath Dress – $138
The color of this dress is gorgeous! The dress would work well with work, especially with a fun blazer, but I already own a dress that is the exact same color and a very similar style. The sleeves have little slits in them which add a unique element to the dress.
(2) Daniel Rainn Kerra Crew Neck Lace Blouse – $68
I love all the fun spring pieces in this fix. The lace blouse is lightweight, good quality, and perfect for spring and summer. It came with the tank underneath which I love. It is casual but can definitely be dressed up for work too.
(3) C. Luce Adaline Geo Print Mixed Material Tank – $58
As another fun spring piece, this tank is perfect to wear under a suit, with skinny jeans or even with shorts. It is lightweight and good quality. I love the print and fun colors.
(4) Tulle Teddy Floral Blazer – $68
I know that floral blazers may be the trend, but I can’t pull it off. The blazer was good quality and relatively lightweight, but there is little shape to it. I prefer my blazers to be fitted. My stylist recommended that I try it with the dress, but I think it would look better with black pants and a blouse underneath. No matter what I did, I just could get this one to work for me. It was fun to try though.
(5) Baggu Melanie Canvas Duck Bag – $38
Ask and you shall receive. I saw this bag on Instagram and thought it would be a fun spring tote. I asked my stylist if she could send a fun spring bag and mentioned that I loved this one. And I actually received the exact one I mentioned. I love this basic bag for spring. It will work great to tote books around or bring to the beach.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
MY OVERALL THOUGHTS
The winners from this box were #2 (Daniel Rainn Kerra Crew Neck Lace Blouse) and #3 (C. Luce Adaline Geo Print Mixed Material Tank) and #5 (Baggu Melanie Canvas Duck Bag).
Even though I didn’t keep all of the pieces this was one of my favorite fixes. I loved all the fun spring colors! I continue to provide even more detailed feedback about my likes and dislikes and I specifically ask for certain pieces each fix. For this fix, I asked for the fun spring Baggu bag and they sent me the exact same bag that I asked for in my feedback. I noticed that I have a different stylist each time and I actually really love that because it means I get unique pieces each time.
Even though I didn’t keep the floral blazer, I love that they send me at least one piece that I wouldn’t usually pick for myself. It gives me the opportunity to try something fun and new. I can’t wait to see what fun spring pieces they send me next!

I just started stitchfix and I like to google other ppls fixes 🙂 I’ve peeped in at all of your stitchfix posts and I have to say the dresses fit you PERFECT. I opted out of dresses but you are tempting me. You are doing a great job with what you choose to keep, they look great on you. Thanks for sharing.
I love all these spring pieces on this shipment Ashley! The lace blouse and tank top look so pretty and adorable on you 🙂
Love the white blouse on you.. but also love that blazer. The blazer seems like it can be dressed up or casual, you look great!
that pink dress looks awesome on you! I need to try stitch fix!!
I love your stitch fix reviews, Ashley! Such cute pieces here. I love the Spring palette, and that lace blouse is just so adorable on you!
The pink dress looks wonderful on you. Very flattering. Love the bag! I’m getting excited for warm weather clothes 🙂
The slits in the sleeves of the dress are so cute!! I always love a good lace top and the colors of the teal tank top are gorgeous. And that bag! So “handy” that it has two sets of different length handles 😉 Completely agree with the blazer- it lacks shape and I think it’s difficult in general to make something like that work.
Everything looks so great on you! I totally agree with your choices though. That blazer was cute, but just didn’t do anything for you, whereas the two tops you kept are gorgeous!
Ashley, I love seeing these new Spring colors! I’m in love with #2 and #3, too! That lace looks so pretty on you. Loved the bag with it… you’re such an amazing model! 🙂
You are too sweet, Gloria! Haha, I am definitely not a good model. I laugh at myself every time I look at the pictures after I take them. It is a good thing I am not a fashion blogger 😉
Glad you kept #3 that was my favorite from this bunch
I agree, #3 is definitely one of my favorite Stitch Fix pieces!
Gah I love that lace top! I just bought something kinda similar but it was 3/4 sleeves and I’m obsessed with it! haha I also really love that other printed tank – the color /pattern is so fun and pretty!
I actually ordered two lace tops from somewhere else and received them the same day I got this fix. I only ended up keeping this white one though since I loved it so much!
Looking fabulous! These pieces are all so fun for spring!
When I saw your shipment I got all excited like it was mine — the colors are so pretty! That pink dress looks gorgeous on you, and do love the white lace tank and bag. These posts of yours are so fun! 🙂
Thanks, Marcie! I am glad that you enjoy these posts 🙂
I’m glad to know that they are sending bags now. Love the colors, too!
Yes, the bag was a fun surprise!
I LOVE that tank!! And I really like the lace shirt too. A good haul!

I love love love all of this! Although I feel you on the flower print blazer. That one is really tricky to pull off, though you look adorable in it. I’d say top #1 is my favorite. And that bag! So cute and perfect for spring/summer. Love it all!
Thanks, Kim! It was fun to get the tote this time.
