Stitch Fix September 2014 Review

Today’s post marks one year since I first started receiving Stitch Fix monthly shipments. After having just received my twelfth box, I can honestly say that I love Stitch Fix more and more each month. Each month is always something new so it never gets boring. My Stitch Fix pieces are some of my favorite pieces in my closest and I have worn most pieces many times. Every single piece that I have received from Stitch Fix still looks good and fits well. I am constantly surprised by the quality of the pieces. My Stitch Fix stylist always knows exactly what to send me! Read on to see what I kept this month.

Stitch Fix reminds me of the personal stylists that they have at Nordstrom or similar stores, except I’ll never actually meet my stylist and all of the items are shipped directly to my door. When you sign up, they ask you to fill out a style profile, where you specify sizes, price ranges, shapes, styles and any colors or patterns that you prefer. You pick a date that you want your fix shipped and they send you a box of 5 clothing and accessory items hand-picked based on your style profile. You can schedule one delivery or sign up for automatic monthly deliveries. You pay a $20 styling fee for each box, which also includes delivery. The $20 styling fee is applied as a credit towards anything you keep from your box. If you purchase everything in your box, you receive 25% off the entire purchase.

So here is my twelfth Stitch Fix box:

Stitch Fix September Review on Spoonful of Flavor

(1) Daniel Rainn Anders Heart Print Split Neck Blouse

My stylist knows that I love Daniel Rainn blouses so I was excited to see this brand in my fix again. I love the way it fits and the print is fun for fall. It is sheer and comes with a matching cami. I even wore it the first day that I received it.

(2) Skies are Blue Cara Flutter Sleeve Blouse

Ask and you shall receive! I don’t know how many times I’ve said that in past reviews, but it is true. I pinned this exact blouse from another Stitch Fix review and was so excited to see it arrive this month. This blouse is my style and I love the flutter sleeves, neckline and color.

(3) Loveappella Kaci Geo Print Swing Skirt

When I first saw this skirt in my fix, I immediately thought that I probably wasn’t going to keep it. It is not a style or print that I normally wear. But after I tried it on with the Cara Flutter Sleeve Blouse, I knew that it was a perfect match. It is great for dinner on the weekends or a casual fall party. Once again, I kept a piece that I probably wouldn’t have even given a second glace at the store – one of the many reasons I love Stitch Fix!

(4)  Gilli Genna 3/4 Sleeve Faux Wrap Dress

I LOVE the shape, color and style of this dress. Unfortunately, I either ate too much on my recent vacation (yes, must be that!) or the dress was too way too small. It hugged me in all of the wrong places. I was really disappointed that this one didn’t fit because it is a beautiful and comfortable dress.

(5) Papermoon Misti Belted Flutter Sleeve Dress

I love the fit of this dress but I’m not crazy about the black and white print. The quality is great and the dress is very comfortable. I have so many black and white dresses so I’m not sure about adding another one to my wardrobe.

The winners from this fix were #1 (Daniel Rainn Anders Heart Print Split Neck Blouse), #2 (Skies are Blue Cara Flutter Sleeve Blouse) and #3 (Loveappella Kaci Geo Print Swing Skirt). I would have definitely kept #4 if it fit me because the color and fit was gorgeous. Once again, this month was a great fix! I can’t wait to see what the next year of Stitch brings.
