Simple ingredients yield the best flavors. One of my favorite little places to grab lunch in town always uses the freshest ingredients. During lunch, I often see local farmers deliver fresh tomatoes or local honey.  All of the dishes include seven ingredients or less. Despite the minimal ingredients, each meal is packed with flavor. Turkey, brie and honey mustard tarragon sandwich uses minimal ingredients and is packed with the freshest flavors. Sliced turkey, fresh spinach, brie and sliced granny smith apple are layered over fresh ciabatta.

The highlight of this sandwich is the honey mustard tarragon sauce. Adding a simple sauce to a sandwich is a great way to elevate the flavor. Dijon mustard, honey and tarragon are combined to create a sauce that is perfect for layering over this sandwich. Make extra sauce and use it for dipping too. You can enjoy this sandwich cold or pressed. Pack it for lunch or a picnic and enjoy it any time of the year.

Turkey, Brie and Honey Mustard Tarragon Sandwich is a simple sandwich packed with flavor. Serve it cold or pressed!

Ingredients

  • 4 ciabatta rolls split in half lengthwise
  • 2 ounces spinach about a handful
  • 12 ounces sliced turkey deli or roasted
  • 2 ounces brie sliced thin
  • 1 medium granny smith apple sliced thin

For the honey mustard tarragon:

  • 3 tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon dried tarragon

Instructions

  1. Combine the mustard, honey and tarragon in a small bowl; whisk to blend.
  2. To assemble, spread a layer of the honey mustard on the inside of the ciabatta. Layer spinach leaves on the bottom piece of bread. Place 2 to 3 slices of turkey (about 3 oz.) on the sandwich. Top with slices of brie and granny smith apple. Sandwich together and serve with additional honey mustard tarragon sauce for dipping.

Notes

I like these sandwiches served cold or pressed. To press, preheat a nonstick Panini press. Grill the sandwiches for about 5 minutes, until the bread is toasted and the cheese starts to melt. Remove from press and serve.
