Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries or 8 ounce bag of cranberries
  • 2 pears peeled and finely diced (I use Bartlett, D'anjou or Bosc)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 whole cloves*
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • zest and juice from one lemon
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a large saucepan set over medium heat. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer. Simmer for 25 minutes. Mash remaining whole berries. Remove cinnamon stick and cloves. Refrigerate in sealed jars until ready to serve.

Notes

*I like to wrap and tie the cloves in cheese cloth so that I can easily discard them after use.
