Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies are a classic cookie that requires only 10 minutes of prep! Combine a few ingredients to create the best chocolate oatmeal cookies.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1/3 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, cashew)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium saucepan set over medium heat, combine sugar, milk, butter, cocoa and salt. Bring to a full boil, stirring frequently, and cook for 1 full minute.

  3. Remove from heat, and stir in oats, nut butter, and vanilla. 

  4. Drop 2 tablespoonful-sized mounds of dough onto prepared baking sheet. Let cool at room temperature until hardened, about 30 minutes.

  5. Store leftover cookies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
