Easy Baked Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 pound thick asparagus spears
  • 6 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Fresh lemon zest for garnish
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Balsamic glaze for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and set aside.
  • Trim the woody ends from the asparagus spears. Cut each prosciutto slice in half lengthwise.
  • Carefully wrap each spear with prosciutto and place them side by side on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with olive oil, focusing on the tips, then sprinkle with garlic powder and pepper.
  • Roast for 10 to 12 minutes, or until asparagus is tender and the prosciutto is crispy. Garnish with lemon zest and parsley, and serve with lemon wedges and balsamic glaze, if desired.

Notes

Storage: Store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can serve them cold or reheat them in the oven at 400 degrees F until warm.
