Fine Mesh Strainer or Cheesecloth
Mason jar or small airtight container
Ingredients
1/2cupgranulated sugaror honey
1/2cupwater
5teaspoonsdried lavender buds
splash of vanilla extract(optional)
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water and lavender.
Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla, if using. Allow to cool.
Strain syrup through a fine mesh strainer into a jar to remove lavender buds and set aside.
Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
One of my favorite ways to use this lavender is in a Lavender Latte!
