Peach cobbler oatmeal is an easy and delicious breakfast ready in less than 10 minutes! Fresh peaches, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar create an oatmeal that the entire family will love!

Peach Cobbler Oatmeal - an easy and delicious breakfast ready in less than 10 minutes!

Peach season is at its peak. Apparently this year the peaches are high quality and very large. And I’m pretty sure I purchased the world’s largest peach this weekend. I wanted to take picture to show you, but it somehow disappeared before I was able to get a picture of it. No matter how many I buy, they never last very long in my house. We eat peaches for breakfast, lunch dinner and dessert. Today, I’m sharing Peach Cobbler Oatmeal – a good choice for breakfast inspired by a classic dessert!

I was never a fan of the premade boxed and packaged oatmeal. Why eat the pre-packaged stuff when you can have fresh peaches in homemade oatmeal? This oatmeal is ready in less than 10 minutes so it can even be made on busy mornings. And since I love everything a little crunchy, I topped it off with chopped pecans.

I like my oatmeal thick and barely sweet. Feel free to add milk or additional water for a creamy texture. Add more sugar for sweetness, as desired. Enjoy the taste of fresh peaches and oatmeal for breakfast!

I feel you with eating peaches for breakfast, lunch AND dinner. I usually eat apples daily year round, but when it’s peach season, I skip the apples and just eat peaches…along with other fruit lol. I like what you did with this oatmeal. Usually I eat mine more thinned out with milk of some kind, but I like the idea of it being thick. Thanks for sharing, Ashley 🙂

I just can’t imagine why I’ve been eating anything else for breakfast all summer long! This looks too good. In the best way.

  7. Danielle | Krafted Koch

This looks so good! I’m not a huge boxed oatmeal person either, but in the winter I do find myself making the little packets of peach oatmeal on blistery cold MN mornings. This looks like a much better alternative though! I will definitely be making this!

  8. Shannon @ Bake. Frost. Repeat.

I love love LOVE this oatmeal! There is something about fresh fruit in oatmeal that is soooo good, and peaches are one of my favorites. I have ripe peaches on my counter at home just waiting to be used for this!

  9. Tash

  19. Sarah@RunningOnBrie

I adore this breakfast idea! I love oatmeal for breakfast and this is a really great way to make it! Have you ever used steel cut oats? I’m kind of obsessed with them- they take a few extra minutes to cook, but they have this really amazing nutty texture and sweetness to them.

    • Ashley

Hi Sarah! Yes, in fact I often use steel cut oats instead of regular oats in this oatmeal. I love the texture and nutty flavor!

  20. Annie @Maebells

Ashley I love this! I just can’t get enough peaches this summer!

  21. Susan

This sounds wonderful! Since it is still really hot where I live, I think I would try this as overnight oats for summer, so I can enjoy it now.

    • Ashley

Hi, Susan! I hope you get a chance to try it!

      • Susan

Hi Ashley! I did try this, as overnight oats and it was very nice. Definitely something I’d do again. The only issue I had with it is that I can’t get tree-ripened peaches anywhere that I know of, here at home, and the flavor of tree-ripened fruit is always better than standard issue commercial. I’m hoping to have a good opportunity to try this as hot oatmeal, too. Peach is one of my very favorite flavors.

  22. Gayle @ Pumpkin 'N Spice

This oatmeal looks amazing! Peach cobbler for breakfast is my type of meal. I love finding new oatmeal flavors, so can’t wait to try this out!

  23. Ashley

Yay peaches!! This oatmeal looks so good! I haven’t made any pretty much all summer for some reason – I need to get back on the oatmeal train! haha

  24. Ashlyn @ Belle of the Kitchen

This oatmeal is absolutely gorgeous, Ashley! And such a great combo of healthy breakfast with yummy dessert! 🙂

This was great! My husband is more of an eggs and bacon person, but we added some ham on the side and he was happy. The toddler will eat anything with oatmeal so she was excited 🙂
