Baking cookies is one of my favorite things about the holiday season! These 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies are inspired by my childhood. After all, I won my girl scout cookie baking contest three years in a row with easy peanut butter cookies. Unfortunately, I don’t have the exact same recipe since it was my grandmothers “secret” recipe, but these cookies are as close as I can get! Only three ingredients combine to create cookies that are naturally flourless and gluten free. Bake a batch for a cookie swap or share with friends and family. How to make 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies
These cookies are made with three ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen – peanut butter, granulated sugar and eggs. Combine the peanut butter, granulated sugar and egg in a large mixing bowl. Stir the ingredients until smooth. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls with your hands and place on a lined baking sheet. Flatten the cookies a bit with the bottom of a glass, then press a criss-cross pattern into each with a fork. Bake them in the oven at 350° F for 12 minutes. Remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for two minutes. Then, transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.

To make these peanut butter cookies soft, reduce the cook time slightly. We reduce the cook time to 9 to 12 minutes. You can also make them thicker and softer by not pressing down so much with the glass prior to baking.

To make chewier peanut butter cookies, press down on a the glass more to make them thiner. A thiner cookie will create a chewier cookie. We love making these cookies any way since they still taste amazing.

3 ingredient peanut butter cookies are made with only three ingredients and are the perfect treat for holiday cookie swaps and parties.
- 3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Stir the ingredients together until smooth. Roll into 1-inch balls with your hands and place on a paper-lined baking sheet. Flatten the cookies a bit with the bottom of a glass, then press a criss-cross pattern into each with the back of a fork.
Bake 12 minutes, then remove from oven and allow to cool 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
*Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
**For the peanut butter, I use creamy Jiff peanut butter or Jiff natural. You do not want to use peanut butter with nuts.
