- Vegetables: Carrots, yellow onion and sweet red pepper are the perfect compliment to the turkey.
- Broth: You will need a combination of white wine and chicken broth. If you don’t want to use white wine, you can substitute with all chicken broth.
- Seasonings: You will need salt, pepper, garlic powder and dried rosemary.
- Olive Oil: Adds flavor to the turkey and vegetables.
How to Cook Turkey Tenderloin
This recipe comes together easy to create a complete meal with both turkey and fresh vegetables for serving.
- Coat a rectangular baking dish with olive oil. Add julienned carrots, sliced onions and sliced red peppers to the bottom of the dish. Drizzle the vegetables with olive oil and toss to coat.
- Sprinkle the turkey tenderloin with salt and pepper, then place in the baking dish.
- Next, whisk together white wine, chicken broth, garlic powder and dried rosemary. Pour the liquid over the tenderloin.
- Cover the dish with foil and roast in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 to 40 minutes, until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F in the thickest part. Turn on the broiler and broil for 4 to 5 minutes until browned.
Recipe Tips
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the internal temperature reaches 165° Fahrenheit.
- Adjust the seasonings to fit your taste. Turkey is naturally low in fat and provides immunity-boosting nutrients like iron, zinc and potassium. It soaks in the flavor of whatever seasonings or marinades it’s cooked with so you can even experiment with your own flavor combination.
- Locate turkey tenderloin at your local grocery store. If you can’t find a certain cut of meat at the grocery store, mention it to an employee in the meat department. They may be able to order one for you.
- Adapt for smaller or larger sizes of turkey tenderloin. You can even use this recipe for boneless or bone-in turkey breast.

I am excited to try this recipe. Can I prep everything the night before and put it in the oven to bake the next day? Is it safe to let the raw turkey sit in the broth wine mixture overnight?
Hi, Marla! Yes, you can prep the night before and store in the refrigerator but make sure the turkey is covered or stored in a container. Enjoy!
If making this a day ahead and transporting to a thanksgiving gathering, what is the best way to reheat (and will it still taste good)?
Hi Deb! I haven’t reheated the entire tenderloin, but I would cover it with foil to allow the tenderloin to stay moist. Then bake until hot, about 20 to 30 minutes at 300 degrees F. Do not heat at a higher temperature or the turkey may dry out. Enjoy!
My Turkey breast whole medallion is almost 7#. Is 400 still an okay temp to bake?
Yes, you can still bake at 400 degrees. However, a 7 pound turkey breast will take a lot longer to bake. It should be baked until the internal temperature registers 165 degrees on an instant read thermometer. This may take up to 2 hours for that size of turkey breast which would mean the vegetables will be way overcooked.
Really enjoy this recipe. I even use it for pork tenderloin. I usually leave out the rd peppers and change up the spice, I use Italian seasoning. Perfect every time.
Made this tonight with rosemary as I’m not a fan of that spice and it was still very tasty. Thank you for sharing.
I’m glad you enjoyed. Thanks so much for your feedback!
