We love discovering the best foodie experiences in Florida! This guide takes us to Southwest Florida, where we visit some of the best restaurants, distilleries, breweries and sweet spots in Fort Myers and Cape Coral. There are so many options in the area, including everything from beachside dining to farm-to-table countryside meals. It’s impossible to visit all of the best places but we share a few of our favorites.

Guide to Cape Coral Florida
Cape Coral is located in Southwest Florida. It’s located near Fort Myers and Sanibel Island, so it’s a great starting location to enjoy all that the area has to offer. Beaches are located within close driving distance. The weather is great and there is plenty of delectable food to be found.
The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village
The Westin Cape Coral Resort is a great place to stay on a visit to the area. It is located adjacent to the Tarpon Point Marina which offers shopping, dining and water activities like kayaking and fishing charters.
The resort offers standard rooms and suites which are perfect for families. It’s easy access to all of the areas activities and foodie experiences within a drive from the resort.
Cape Coral Restaurants
Cape Coral offers a variety of restaurants and dining experiences. We highly recommend visiting at least a few of the restaurants on this list. You won’t be disappointed!
Gather Restaurant Cape Coral
We love this fun casual spot located at Tarpon Point Marina. Gather Restaurant in Cape Coral is located right next to the Westin Resort. You don’t even have to leave the Westin property to walk to this beautiful waterfront dining restaurant.
Try a fun craft cocktail like the “Wanna Smash” if you’re looking for a refreshing drink. The menu offers everything from fresh salads and pastas to pizzas, pretzels and more. It’s a great place to grab a drink and a few small plates and enjoy your evening overlooking the marina. Outdoor and indoor seating is available.
Point 57 Kitchen and Cocktails Cape Coral
If you’re looking for a unique menu, signature cocktails and a relaxing atmosphere, then you must visit Point 57 Kitchen and Cocktails. The menu is diverse, featuring the freshest ingredients and fun twists on classic favorites like Pulled Pork Spring Rolls and Seafood Cobb Salad.
The menu also offers favorites like Beef Stroganoff, New England Lobster Rolls, Scampi Pasta, Burgers, Wings and more. Outdoor and indoor seating is available for lunch and dinner.
Cafe YOU
Cafe YOU in Cape Coral is a great spot to grab breakfast, lunch or coffee. The breakfast menu is offered all day and it’s filled with wholesome offerings like avocado toast, shakshuka and a breakfast bowl loaded with plenty of fresh veggies. Lunch offerings include fresh salads, soups, bowls, wraps and more.
We could eat at this cafe every single week. It offers plenty of Vegan and Gluten Free options and a full pastry cabinet stocked with treats like cakes, muffins and more.
Fathoms Restaurant & Bar
Fathoms Restaurant and Bar is located at the Cape Harbor Marina, another great spot to enjoy waterfront views with plenty of fresh seafood, steaks and even pizza!
Perk & Brew
Perk & Brew is a quaint little spot to grab coffee, craft beers, pastries and more. Stop in for a coffee or start your day with a full breakfast.
Other Cape Coral Restaurants
A few other restaurants that are highly recommended in the Cape Coral area include Marker 92 Waterfront Bar & Bistro, Nice Guys Pizza, Fish Tale Grill by Merrick Seafood and Nevermind Awesome Bar and Eatery. The French Press is also another great place to grab breakfast and coffee.
Things to do in Fort Myers and Cape Coral
Fort Myers and Cape Coral are located on the Florida gulf coast, with great access to Florida’s white sand beaches and plenty of outdoor adventures. Plan your foodie adventure including a stop at the beach and a few of our favorite spots.
Visit Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, Captiva or Cayo Costa
If you’re craving beautiful Florida beaches, then a visit to Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, Captiva or Cayo Costa is a must.
Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel island are easily accessible from Fort Myers and Cape Coral. Captiva and Cayo Costa are great day trips if you’re looking for some of the most beautiful secluded beaches in the country.
Fort Myers Beach is a great place for a mini food crawl. Stop at Heavenly Biscuits for a massive cinnamon bun or Tuckaway Cafe for fresh bagels, smoothies and more. We also really love MoJoe’s Coffee Bar for a fresh acai bowl and coffee. You can park and walk to all of these spots and even have time to visit the beach too.
Matanzas on the Bay is a great spot for lunch overlooking the marina in Fort Myers Beach. Enjoy fresh seafood and drinks while enjoying the beautiful Florida weather. Coste Island Cuisine is another great choice for dinner.

Rosy Tomorrow’s Heritage Farm
Do not miss a visit to Rosy Tomorrow’s Heritage Farm! This sustainable farm offers one of the best dining experiences in the area. Reservations are required, so be sure to plan a visit for brunch to experience a true farm to table experience. With ingredients sourced from the farm and surrounding areas, you are guaranteed an incredible foodie experience.
The restaurant overlooks the farm so you can experience beautiful views and an enjoyable relaxed atmosphere. With a window into the kitchen, you can also see the chefs preparing your meal.
Every single dish on the menu is incredible. They offer fresh botanical drinks like lavender and basil lemonade, using botanicals from their garden. With everything from charcuterie to pastas and plant based dishes, there is something for everyone. This restaurant not only offers delicious food but a full foodie experience.

Wicked Dolphin Distillery
Wicked Dolphin Distillery is an artisan rum distillery. The award winning rum is distilled from Florida sugar cane and other local ingredients, including fresh mango, oranges and more. It’s handcrafted in small batches before it’s aged in used bourbon barrels. The distillery offers free tours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. You are able to see how to the rum is made and taste a few of their spirits or take a bottle home with you.
Craft Breweries in Cape Coral and Fort Myers
Cape Coral and the surrounding area offers plenty of craft breweries. In Cape Coral, you will find Big Blue Brewing Company, Big Storm Cape Coral, Eight Foot Brewing and Scotty’s Bierwerks. Plan an afternoon to brewery hop and experience some of the best brews in the area.
In Fort Meyers, you will find Fort Myers Brewing Company, Coastal Dayz Brewery and Millenium Brewing Company. Fort Myers Brewing Company offers tours where you can look behind the scenes of the brewing process.

Do not miss the sweets!
My Sweet Art is a lovely little French bakery in Cape Coral. The bakery offers sandwiches and warm dishes in addition to delectable desserts like French macaroons, Napoleons and more.
Cape Creamery is the place to grab a double scoop of ice cream! Try the Key Lime Pie or other fresh Florida flavors for a taste of Florida.
Gulf Coast Fudge is the place to grab a treat before you leave Cape Coral. It’s located at the marina by the Westin Resort and offers fudge, candy and more.
